On Saturday November 20th, Toronto’s indie softer rock act, Ohbijou played a beautifully orchestrated show at Vancouver’s Biltmore Cabaret in promotion of their new full-length album Beacons.

As a long-time Misfits fan, I couldn’t miss the opportunity to see such a legendary American horror-punk band play a live concert in my own backyard. The Misfits played a sold-out show at Venue, formerly the Plaza Club, on November 10, to promote their new album, Land of the Dead.

It was a mild October night when the double headlining team Loney Dear and Asobi Seksu graced the stage at the Biltmore Cabaret. Representing Sweden and New York respectively, the room was filled with a buzz that can only be attributed to the thrifty glee of experiencing two equally appealing bands for the price of one. However, cost effectiveness alone does not make a concert.
