Today, we’re discussing a recent and complex event that’s been gaining attention across Canada and India. It centers on a former Peel Regional Police officer, Sergeant Harinder Sohi, who was suspended after reportedly participating in a pro-Khalistani protest that turned violent at the Hindu Sabha temple in Brampton. According to former Toronto Police Detective Donald Best, many Khalistani protesters physically attacked Hindu worshippers on the temple grounds. Videos from the scene show tense confrontations, including fistfights and people clashing with flagpoles outside the temple. And for that, I have here my personal friend, Pranay Ratan, cohost of this show. To begin with we’ve got a really inspiring story to share. We’re talking about a unique educational initiative called Slum School—and who better to introduce it than a good friend of mine who’s been closely volved with it.
