We began our day at 5:30 AM with a drive to the most eastern point of North America: Cape Spear. Here we waited for the sun to rise while we were led through a tobacco offering. 

Later in the afternoon, we arrived at Petty Harbour and participated in a cod fishing outing and preparation demonstration with the organization, Fishing for Success. It is a nonprofit company that provides heritage experiences and programs to continue the traditional fishing knowledge and culture in Newfoundland and Labrador.
