CJSF DJ Workshop 2019: coming May 10!

Interested in becoming a live event DJ? Simon Fraser University's CJSF 90.1 FM will be holding seven biweekly DJ workshops from May to August. Learn various practical DJ skills and work toward performing live in front of a supportive audience at our DJ showcase at the end of August!

Please sign up for each session separately via Better Impact (sign in required; scroll down to the "DJ Workshop, May to August 2019" category to see sessions.) No experience needed. First come, first serve. DJs are required to attend at least two workshops in order to participate in the final DJ showcase.

Session 1: Getting Started in Serato (great for beginners!)

Session 2: Organizing Music in Serato and Understanding BPMs and Pitch (great for beginners!)

Session 3: Beat Matching using BPMs (great for beginners!)

Session 4: Beat Matching with Low BPM Songs

Session 5: Beat Matching using Pitch

What Participants Need to Bring

• Headphones
• Laptop with Serato (free trial available for download)
• USB drive with music
• Mixing board (if you have one)
