A deep dive into the Cowichan Tribes/Richmond Land Claims case: Interview with Dr. Estair an Wagner of the UVic Law School.  In August a decision was handed down in BC Supreme Court in Cowichan Tribes v. Canada. A Fist Nations land claims case  about a parcel of land along the Fraser River in Richmond that raised alarms and continues to be a source of discussion in the Province. Of particular concern to many was that this decision impacted the private property rights and ownership of some of the land holders in the affected parcel. This has stirred up a lot of concern online and in the Province  and controversy about the potential conflict between Aboriginal Title and private property in BC
