We are looking for workshop leaders to help our programmers improve their skills.
Do you have experience making radio? Have you hosted a show, produced radio commercials, written scripts or interviews done audio recording and production? Simon Fraser University’s CJSF 90.1 FM is looking for skilled individuals to pitch and run radio workshops for our volunteers. Some potential workshops could cover:
- * Interviewing
- * Sound design/editing
- * Announcing
- * Script writing
- * Storytelling
Please send us your resume, cover letter, workshop proposals and be sure to include a detailed outline of the learning goals, workshop exercises and any other relevant details (max 1 page).
Compensation will be based on the successful candidate's experience and level of expertise.
CJSF is a campus/community radio station located at Simon Fraser University in Burnaby, BC. CJSF is volunteer-run, grassroots station that provides music, public affairs, informational and cultural programming on issues and viewpoints which are underrepresented in mainstream media. CJSF works in the interests of people, not profit and serves both the SFU campus and the surrounding off-campus community.
The station broadcast at 90.1FM at 450 watts allowing it to reach most of the Greater Vancouver region. It also live streams it broadcast via the internet at www.cjsf.ca.
